About me

I am Hasan Idrees, a passionate and award-winning engineer, researcher, and consultant dedicated to creating impact through sustainable water technologies and advising on global mobility. As a water engineer at the University of Duisburg-Essen, I focus on developing innovative water treatment solutions and managing international projects such as MAMDIWAS and WE-Africa, which promote cooperation between Germany, the Middle East, and Africa. At the same time, as a migration advisor, I support students, I support engineers and medical professionals in achieving their goals in Germany, drawing on my own experience as a DAAD scholarship holder who successfully made the transition from newcomer to researcher in Germany. Driven by curiosity, networking, and meaningfulness, I want to connect science, society, and sustainability—from Germany to the world—and thus contribute to a better future for water systems and people.
